What are the key challenges in the move from plastic to paper? What is the impact of this transition on costs and efficiency? What are the new technologies available for a more sustainable approach? 

To date, consumers in the luxury world are increasingly aware of the impact of climate change and are attentive to sustainability. For brands, this means investing in innovation and new technologies, and above all rethinking packaging design. 

Moderated by Simon Esterson, Fedrigoni will host a debate in its London Studio next 22 June 2023 about the challenges, technologies and solutions faced by brands and designers in the move from plastic to paper. We’ll tackle the topic from different angles thanks to the participation of Vincent Villeger Creative Director and Independent Luxury Packaging Designer, Katie Kubrak Head of Head of Materials & Insight Nirvana CPH, Ian Bates European Marketing & Partnership Director of Two Sides, Richard Owers Director of Pureprint Group and Annette Clayton, Fedrigoni Global Account Manager and P2P Ambassador. 

This panel discussion is part of the wider Fedrigoni’s aim to be a catalyst for the future metamorphosis in the world of packaging. Anti-Fingerprint, Anti-Grease, Anti-Scratch, Water-Resistant, Heat Sealable solutions are just a few of the disruptive technologies that Fedrigoni grouped into its new tool Materia Viva 2 Metamorphosis.
